One of the scariest things in the life, in my opinion, is to visit a dental clinic. Most of my readers and dentists would agree that it's not an overstatement to say that dentists happen to be the scariest bunch of doctors whom everybody would like to avoid.
So… when patients visit their clinics, what should dentists do to comfort them?
I would say that they should do anything but display these pictures on the walls of the reception….
Few days back, I happened to accompany one of my friends to a dental clinic.
These are the few of the pictures which that Doc fellow had displayed on the walls. Those were the pictures with no captions and I really did not understand the purpose behind their display.
My reaction went through a series of metamorphosis….
Already horrified…..
Horrified to the core on seeing these photographs……
Wondered why the heck he had displayed these photographs….
Probably he is trying to prove he is one helluva doc who can perform complex surgeries…..
Was thrown in a fit of laugher when I saw face of my friend turning white on seeing these photographs….
Clicked pictures of these photographs….
Thought of sharing them with bloggers…
The million dollar question still remains unanswered…..Why would any dentist put these pics on the walls of his clinic?

1. dentist wanted to show it off...but in turn got screwed as patients ran away looking at those horrifyin pics..
2. dentist knows that he is bad at dentistry and would hurt his patients at any cost...so he put those pics to scare weak hearted patients..to ease his life..
3. dentist was a sadist..and wanted to prove that to the world..

4. dentist had a crush on that female he is operating on...she dumped him...and then somehow they patched up...he performed surgery on her, gave her pain..and sought revenge... later...to remind him about that everyday..he hung the pics in his clinic... he is happier now that pics have reached across the world through your blog
I went thorugh RCT once. Sometimes it still scares me in my dreams.
People who just wonder what is it so scary about dentist that inspires so my episodes on tv and movies (esp. horror\thriller ones) on this subject. But you just got to make one visit and you'd know. I can easily guess that you are brushing your teeth for double the time now after that visit

i have visited dentists on number of times....had the painful experience similar to those in the pics....
trust me....its as bad as it looks
quite simple ... I'm good ... I don't torture my patients as much as the other docs .... howz that ?
